Acquisition Fee:

The term most commonly refers to the fee charged by a syndicator of an investment group to cope with the expense involved in arranging and finding a desired investment property. There are two ways to pay such a fee: simply up front, or it can be tagged on to the loan amount and repaid over the term of the loan, which of course entails paying interest on a larger principal and increasing monthly payment.
