Property Manager

The term Property Manager is used to describe a person or company hired to deal with the routine operations of a piece of real estate, in this case, usually an apartment complex. A property manager’s duties normally include, but are not limited to, collecting rent, addressing tenant concerns, providing tours of vacant units to prospective renters and overseeing building maintenance.
The job usually doesn’t require any specific academic background, but it’s helpful to be property-market savvy and people friendly. Property managers are typically paid a salary or by the hour, but perhaps the sweetest part of the compensation package is free or reduced rent for a unit in the complex they are responsible for.
